O.C. & UPPER NEWS NOTES – 11-2

By Rosemarie Whelan

“Best of Life” is a group of seniors from the area and surrounding communities that meets once a month at the Trinity United Methodist Church Hall on Route 9 in Marmora. Come out and socialize with this great group of seniors starting at 11:45 a.m. with a covered-dish luncheon and entertainment.
Last month, the group was entertained by Rev. Randy E. Harry, pastor of the Church; and Robert Gummel, a local music teacher from the Ocean City and Marmora areas, who is a member of the Church and volunteered to entertain the seniors.
The group usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month; however, because of Election Day, this month’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Community activities in which the group takes part include collecting food for the Upper Township Food Bank and knitting afghans for the Veterans’ Hospital in Vineland. New members are most welcome to join.
