This coming Saturday, March 24, at The Lighthouse Church, from 9 a.m. until noon, we are holding our Third Annual Men’s Resurrection Breakfast.
The ticket for this very special event is only $5 for breakfast and not only will you get a top-notch meal but you will also be challenged and motivated by our very special guest: Jonathan Evans.
Two years ago, we filled the place with Darryl Strawberry and last year we had Mookie Wilson. This year I can assure you that there will be no mention of the New York Mets.
Jonathan Evans, a mentor, author, speaker and former NFL fullback, treasures his personal relationship with Jesus. He has dedicated his life to allow the Lord to lead him to unique opportunities where he can use his talented speaking abilities to glorify God.
Evans seeks to impact today’s athletes, men, and young adults by equipping and encouraging them in their faith. I can think of no better way for the men in Cape May County to begin to get ready for Easter than by placing themselves in a perfect position to spring forward.
What stones might God roll away that presently are getting in the way of being a man of integrity and dependability?
Evans presently serves with his pastor, friend, and famous father, Dr. Tony Evans, both in the local church and in the national ministry. They also teamed up together to write “Get in the Game,” a practical guidebook filled with sports analogies and spiritual truths aimed at strengthening readers with the skills they need for living victoriously. Jonathan will be available to sign copies of the book at the breakfast.
In addition, Evans serves as the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys, but we won’t hold that against him; especially now that our Eagles have won the Super Bowl. He is also the co-Chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks.
Evans also studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, mentors youth in his home church, and leads young adults around the country through a variety of ways.
What you will discover is that Jonathan is a dynamic speaker and is in high demand at churches, conferences, men’s events, banquets, youth, and FCA events.
He is committed to developing the next generation of devoted Christian leaders. He is only going to be with us March 24 because he needs to travel back to Dallas for an evening event.
Finally, on a personal note, Evans is a devoted husband to his wife Kanika, and together they are the proud parents of Kelsey, Jonathan II, and Kamden.
What I love about Saturday’s breakfast is that it can be a cross- generational happening. Grandfathers and fathers and sons can share a table and do something life changing as a family.
There will also be chances to win some Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl prizes. All you have to do to be eligible to win is be at The Lighthouse Church for breakfast.
And Ladies, you want to send your men to this event because we are hoping that Evans will go home and share his wonderful experiences in Cape May County with his family and sister, Priscilla Shirer. Shirer is also in demand as a highly touted women’s speaker and Bible study author.
She also has the title of “Movie Star” having starred in the recent classic, “War Room” and now “I Can Only Imagine.”
If you want to reserve a table or secure tickets for the Men’s Resurrection Breakfast, please stop by The Lighthouse Church this week.
You can also call 609-465-6690 for reservations.
Tickets will also be available at the door. If I could, I would pick you up myself and escort you personally so that you don’t miss this monumental happening.
As I have shared many times, God wants to do a holy work in our area, and it takes believers who are willing to set the table for the Lord to provide the banquet.
See you in the huddle. I sense God has a Super Bowl of our own in store.
