O'DONNELL, MARY A.

O'DONNELL, MARY A. Mary A. O'Donnell (McMullin), 73, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on May 21, 2024 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She left this world peacefully, surrounded in love by her devoted husband and children. Mary was married for 55 years on May 16 to the love of her life and best friend, Thomas A. O'Donnell. She was the beloved Mother to Dawn Wolford and husband Ed, of Coopersburg, PA; Thomas A. O'Donnell, Jr., of King of Prussia, PA; and Bridget Graver and husband Chris, of Emmaus, PA; and beloved Mimi to Kaytlyn O'Donnell, Quinn O'Donnell, Connor Wolford, Aidan Wolford, Taylor Graver, and Andrew Graver; and beloved Great-Mimi to Liam Ott. Mary's favorite thing in life was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and extended family. She loved to travel with her family, counting Hawaii, Ireland, Key West, and Disney World among her favorite places. Mary loved the beach, where she soaked up every minute watching her grandchildren play wiffle ball and build sandcastles. Mary was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, mightily cheering her teams on and rarely missing the opportunity to watch them play. She enjoyed cooking, taking particular pride in helping her daughters with new recipes for holiday meals. And for 22 years, Mary and Tom enjoyed Friday nights at their favorite place, The Bellevue Tavern, rarely missing their weekly date night. Mary was born in Philadelphia to the late James and Mary McMullin (Hopkins). She graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in 1968. The loss of Mary will leave a void her family cannot fill, and in addition to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, she is survived by her beloved brothers and their wives, Matthew and Mary Jo McMullin, and John and Karen McMullin; her sisters-in-law, whom she considered her true sisters, Marie Estelle "Mim" Horrocks, Nancy Barthold, Cathy O'Brien and her husband and Mary's fellow "Outlaw" Jack; and Donna O'Donnell; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved so much; and many beloved friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers James McMullin, Mark McMullin, and Thomas McMullin; and her brother-in-law James O'Donnell. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to PC Hope Foundation (www.pchopefoundation.org/donate) or Bayada Hospice, 1201 New Road, Suite 138, Linwood, NJ 08221. Mary will be remembered most for her bright smile, and how she always made everyone she met feel special. Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Memorial Mass will start at 11 a.m. Mass will be followed by a Celebration of Life at Mary's favorite place, The Bellevue Tavern, 9 S. Main Street, Cape May Court House. The family invites all who love Mary to join us in wearing bright colors to Mary's Celebration of Life, so we can all brighten up the world like Mary brightened ours every day.
