North Wildwood’s Career Fire Department Welcomes Newest Member

NORTH WILDWOOD – The City of North Wildwood welcomed its newest member of the career fire department, Andrew Ludman, Sept. 19, as he was sworn in at a regular city council meeting.

Ludman was born and raised in Middle Township by his parents Andy and Lisa Ludman. He has been living in North Wildwood for the past year and a half. Ludman started his firefighting career by joining the Green Creek Vol. Fire Company in 2017. In 2018 attended the Cape May County Fire Academy and in 2019 he attended Wildland Firefighting training with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service Division C-1. Ludman then graduated from Middle Township High School in 2019. He attended Atlantic Cape Community College and in 2021 graduated with an associate’s degree in Biology.

Ludman was promoted to lieutenant in the Green Creek fire company in 2022.

In 2022, Ludman joined the North Wildwood Fire Department as a part-time employee and volunteer at the 15th Street station. In 2023 he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Stockton University.
