WILDWOOD CREST – Construction on the 10,000-square-foot Wildwood Crest branch of the Cape May County Library is well underway, with completion expected in mid-spring, according to Director Deborah Poillon.
The branch is on the site of the former Hereford Masonic lodge, Atlantic Avenue between E. Columbine and E. Wisteria roads. A portion of that structure, with stone façade, remains.
The new library will have increased room for all library materials, an enlarged children’s area, two study rooms, a large and small meeting room and an outside deck and enclosed reading area that will overlook the green roof, she added. Free WiFi will be maintained.
The island’s current branch library is 5,800 square feet.
