Woodbine 5.31.2006

By Rick Racela

Saturday is “Woodbine Day,” the fourth annual Greater Woodbine Chamber of Commerce Woodbine Family Festival.
Lining the bike path will be vendors of all varieties, plus a host of other attractions.
Come out, eat, and visit the antique/collectible shops in town, as well as the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage.
Festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We expect fine weather and a very enjoyable and well-planned event.
We also expect to see you there!
Just a reminder: Woodbine will be the site of the Cape May County MUA’s final paper shredding day of the season. Shred that pile of papers Friday, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Ambulance Corps Building on DeHirsch Boulevard, in back of Borough Hall.
Recycle your old documents and confidential files safely and securely.
Residents and businesses can bring all types of paper. Standard size staples and paper clips are ok, but no large binders, plastic covers, or laminated paper.
Volume per customer may not exceed six bags (kitchen trash bags) or six boxes (copier paper boxes or banker size box.)
Open to all county residents. (To the attic, Hubby.)
Tomorrow is the annual Woodbine AARP Chapter 5292 installation of officers luncheon at the Sand Barrens.
We’ll report the names of the upcoming year’s officers in a subsequent column.
Congratulations to those who received Confirmation at St. Casimir’s on May 18:
Kaitlyn Colette Campbell, Sarah Frances Dever, Stephanie Elizabeth Fowler, Elssy Gutierrez, Junior Gutierrez, Amy Bridget Hofferica, Michael Ultan Kelly, Naife Manzueta, Madlyn Veronica McQuarrie, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Moran.
Also Thomas Anthony Paolacci, Meringer Ramos, Jonathan John Riccioni, Matthew Alexander Riggitano, Alyson Elizabeth Scherer, James James Schute, Andrew Peter Symuleski, Samatha Rose Szathmary.
Woodbine Elementary school PTA is scheduled to hold their final regular meeting of this school year on Monday.
Please call the school that day for the time of the meeting.
Woodbine Planning and Zoning meets June 8 at 8 p.m.
Tomorrow is June, the month of graduations.
Brag about your graduates, savor your AARP luncheon, shred your personal papers, please be sure and come out for the Woodbine Family Festival, and Celebrate New Jersey all month long.
