Officers of the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company were sworn in for another year Jan. 27.
Doing said swearing were Mayor Pikolycky and Assemblymen Van Drew and Albano.
Line Officers are: Chief, Clarence Ryan; Assistant Chief, Jose Santiago, Jr.; Captain, James Gurdgiel; Lieutenants, Juan Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, Douglas Watkins, Joe Schalek; Safety Officer, John Pikolycky. Administrative Officers are: President, James Gurdgiel; Vice President, Juan Rodriguez; Secretary, Sam Caraballo.
We understand the department is looking for (at least) a few more good men and women to join their ranks.

A fundraiser for Sgt. Allen Osmundson, who was injured in a hunting accident, will be held Feb. 4, from 6-10 p.m., at the VFW, 410 Congress Street, West Cape May.
Tickets are twenty dollars and can be purchased at the door.

Woodbine Municipal Utilities Authority meets Feb. 8 at 7:0 p.m.
Woodbine Planning and Zoning meets Feb. 9 at 8 p.m.

 Seventh and eighth grades: tonight, against Upper eight at home, 7 p.m.; Feb. 4, at Margate-Tighe School, 3 p.m.; Feb. 5, at Upper, 4:15 p.m.; against Middle (at Avalon Rec), 6:30 p.m.; Feb. 8, against Upper 7th at home, 7 p.m.

Nominating petitions are available for the Woodbine School Board election.
 Election is April 18.
Deadline for filing nominating petitions is on or before 4 p.m. Feb. 26.
Open positions are three (3) three-year terms.
Candidates must be registered to vote in the district and not disqualified as a voter pursuant to RS 19:4-1, must be a citizen and resident in the Borough of Woodbine for at least one year immediately preceding election.
Interested candidates can obtain a “School Board Candidates Kit” from Board Secretary Alan B. Parmelee.
