COURT HOUSE – National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, which will be in effect from 10 p.m. Dec. 16 until 9 a.m. Dec. 17.
According to National Weather Service, a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected. Ice and snow accumulations are expected to be less than an inch.
Snow is forecast to overspread the region from the west late tonight (Dec. 16), then quickly change over to sleet and freezing rain by early morning (Dec. 17), and rain by mid morning (Dec. 17).
The snow and ice will create hazardous travel conditions.
Temperatures will rise from the 20s into the 30s during the advisory period.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility and use extra caution while driving.
