COURT HOUSE – Coastal flood warning remains in effect until noon today, Jan. 24.
According to National Weather Service, water levels will decrease this afternoon as a northwest wind pushes water away from the coast. As a result, no additional flooding is expected during the evening high tide cycle.
There is still some flooding and road closures throughout the area this morning so be alert.
Record tidal flooding and significant beach erosion have been reported as a result of the storm.
Crews from Atlantic City Electric continue with restoration efforts, slowly restoring power to the over 21,000+ customers without power in Cape May County. Atlantic City Electric Outage map is showing about 14,500+ still without power as of 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24. Atlantic City Electric has estimated most restoration times to be noon tomorrow, Jan. 25.
The latest snow totals are in from National Weather Service (shown left) showing between 6-10 inches for our area, within range of National Weather Service’s projected 6-12 inches.
