COURT HOUSE – National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory, which will be in effect from 7 p.m. Feb. 9 until midnight Feb. 10.
Minor flooding is anticipated around the time of this evening’s high tide. Water levels will not be as high as those of this morning.
High tide on the New Jersey oceanfront occurs between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. this evening. High tide on the back bays and along Delaware Bay occurs later than the high tide on the oceanfront.
Waves on the near-shore waters off New Jersey will range from 4 to 7 feet.
Localized roadway flooding is expected. Some roads may be closed due to high water. Additional beach erosion is likely.
A coastal flood advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.
Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters.
The winter weather advisory is no longer in effect.
