COURT HOUSE – Winter weather advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. March 4.
National Weather Service upped expected snow totals to 3 to 6 inches, with the heaviest in parts of Sussex County, Del. into Cape May County.
Snow, moderate at times, will end along Maryland’s eastern shore by 10 a.m. but may linger along the coasts until 1 p.m.
Snow will affect travel with slushy accumulations, especially coastal areas. Untreated roads, bridges and overpasses will be slippery. There is a small chance of isolated power outages where snow accumulates more than 4 inches on branches and wires. Some road signs may become snow covered.
A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
