By Herald Staff

Weather for cape may… ..
The National Weather Service in mount Holly has issued a coastal flood advisory, which is in effect from 10 am to 3 pm est Tuesday, Nov. 24.
Northeast winds gusting between 15 and 20 mph will occur. These winds will cause water levels on the coast and the back bays to run higher than normal.
High tides on Tuesday will occur during the first half of the afternoon and water levels may reach minor tidal flooding levels at these times.
Recent beach erosion along the shore has eliminated some of the sand dunes. Winds and wave action may cause flooding in areas that were protected by these dunes previously.
Precautionary/preparedness actions… A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore. Do not park your car in areas that may receive tidal flooding.
