WILDWOOD — One lane has been opened on the George Redding Bridge after flooding caused the span to be closed for several hours during a mandated evacuation of Five Mile Beach.
According to police, the closure occurred at 8:30 a.m. Sun., Oct. 28.
Residents of Wildwood and other towns on Five Mile Beach have been ordered to evacuate starting at 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 28. A curfew will be in force throughout the Wildwoods beginning at 4 p.m.
Barrier islands throughout the state have been ordered to evacuate as New Jerseyeans await the arrival of Hurricane Sandy.
