Tornado Watch Canceled

The National Weather Service in MT. Holly, NJ has issued a Tornado Watch which is in effect until 8 PM tonight.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop today, mainly from about midday across the west and then moving eastward. they will then continue through early tonight. some storms will have the potential to become severe with damaging straight line winds the
main threat. Thunderstorms will also be capable of producing frequent cloud to ground lightning. remain alert as storms could
arrive quickly. Pay attention to watches, warnings and statements from the national weather service into tonight.
This Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 17 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 62. Northwest wind between 16 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
