Sunday’s Forecast: Sunny With Potential For Thunderstorms

The National Weather Service has partly sunny sky’s in the forecast for Sunday. Highs in the upper 80s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. The Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has placed the area under a slight risk of severe thunderstorms from Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. There is the potential for thunderstorms to develop during this time frame, and some of the storms could become severe with damaging winds, hail, frequent cloud to ground lightning and heavy downpours.
It will be uncomfortably warm and humid Sunday into Sunday night.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. South southwest wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Southwest wind between 14 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Monday Night: A slight chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West southwest wind between 5 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday: A slight chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 75. West wind between 6 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 76.
