COURT HOUSE – National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Cape County.
The winter weather advisory remains in effect from noon to 10 p.m. Sat., Feb. 21.
According to the National Weather Service, snow will overspread the area during the early and mid-afternoon. Warmer air will quickly move in, allowing the snow to briefly mix with sleet and freezing rain by the late afternoon before quickly changing over to rain in the evening.
Snow accumulations are expected to be around 1 inch.
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s early this afternoon, then gradually rise into the upper 30s this evening.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
