COURT HOUSE – National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory, which will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 9.
According to NWS, snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are expected.
The heaviest snow should fall sometime between 8 a.m. and noon.
Temperatures will be falling to near 30 during the snow, then recovering slightly during the afternoon.
The snow will create snow-covered roads and possibly produce isolated power outages. Gusty winds may lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility.
North winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph is possible, becoming northwest winds by noon.
A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
