Middle Township Expects Severe Flooding

COURT HOUSE — Township police are urging residents who feel the need to evacuate to contact the municipality’s Emergency Operations Center as Hurricane Sandy moves closer to a direct hit with the county as it makes landfall.
According to police spokesman, “the township will experience severe flooding during high tide tonight at approximately 9 p.m. In addition to strong winds when makes landfall. The latest forecast shows a strengthening storm. When we experience sustained Tropical Force Winds our first responders will be in a very difficult situation to assist you and help may not be available. If you need to be evacuated, please call the Emergency Operations Center at 609-463-1833 as soon as possible.”
