WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT FRIDAY.
.HIGH WIND WARNING IS CANCELLED.
THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY.WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT FRIDAY. THE HIGH
WIND WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
AN INTENSIFYING COASTAL STORM EAST OF THE NO. CAROLINA COAST
WILL CAUSE WINDS TO INCREASE TONIGHT. NE WINDS TONIGHT AND
EARLY FRI MORNING WILL AVERAGE 25 TO 30 MILES AN HOUR.WITH
GUSTS BETWEEN 40 & 50 MILES AN HOUR.
THESE STRONG NE WINDS MAY CAUSE ISOLATED DOWNED TREES AND
TREE LIMBS.WHICH MIGHT BE A DANGER TO RESIDENTS & PROPERTY.
SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES WOULD RESULT.
THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO LESSEN SOMEWHAT FRI AFTERNOON AND
THEN SLOWLY DIMINISH FRI NIGHT AS THE STORM RECEDES TO THE
NORTHEAST.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT.ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
