The National Weather Service reports a light onshore flow of moist air has resulted in the development of dense fog across portions of central and southern Delaware as well as Cape May County. The fog has become dense with surface observations and web cams indicating visibilities dropping below one-half mile.
The worst conditions are along the Atlantic coast and across the lower Delaware bay. The fog is not as dense across western portions of Kent and Sussex county Delaware. The fog is expected to remain dense for the remainder of the overnight hours with
improvement expected toward 8. a.m. Tuesday.
Overnight: Areas of dense fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 55. East northeast wind around 6 mph.
Tuesday: Areas of dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 69. East wind between 5 and 8 mph.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. South southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west.
