COURT HOUSE – A light snowfall event is expected overnight Dec. 14 across southern New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly (NWS).
Local meteorologist Dan Skeldon says up to an inch of snow is possible.
“The arrival of arctic air, plus the arrival of a disturbance now in the Midwest, will combine to create a period of snow showers and perhaps a squall or two overnight, mainly after midnight through 5 a.m.,” stated Skeldon in a post on his Facebook page.
“The snow should be ending before the morning rush,” according to a post on NWS’ Facebook page. “With temperatures falling below freezing slick spots will be possible due to the snow.”
Potentially record breaking cold is expected for the end of the week.
