Code Blue Issued for Jan. 29-Feb. 1

COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Office of Emergency Management advises all municipalities that Cape May County will be under “Code Blue” severe weather advisory effective from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Jan. 29, 30, 31 and Feb. 1.
“Code Blue” conditions are in effect when the temperature reaches 25 degrees Fahrenheit with clear skies or 32 degrees Fahrenheit with precipitation.
Persons seeking temporary shelter in a warming center should contact their local municipality.
A warming center has been established in the Lower Township Recreation Center, 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas. Warming center staff is scheduled 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
