ERMA – The Office of Emergency Management has issued a “Code Blue” advisory for all of Cape May County effective from 6 p.m. Feb. 28 to March 1, 2019 at 6 a.m.
“Code Blue” conditions are in effect when the temperature reaches 25 degrees Fahrenheit or lower with clear skies or 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower with precipitation or the National Weather Service forecasts the wind chill temperature will be “0” zero degrees Fahrenheit or less for a period of two hours or more.
Persons seeking temporary shelter in a warming center should contact their local municipality.
