A coastal flood advisory remains in effect from 10AM until 3PM today.
A north to northeast wind and a long period swell emanating from an offshore low pressure system are expected to help cause minor tidal flooding again with the daytime high tide cycle on Thursday. The minor tidal flooding should be more wide spread than it was with the high tide on Wednesday.
Minor tidal flooding is likely along Raritan bay, the New Jersey and Delaware coastlines, adjacent back bays and lower Delaware bay around the time of the daytime high tide on Thursday. High tide will occur between 10:45 AM and 12:15 PM on Raritan bay and along the Atlantic coastline. High tide on the back bays and on lower Delaware bay occurs later than high tide on the ocean front.
Once a high pressure system nears the area late tonight and Friday, the threat for additional minor tidal flooding will end.
