The combination of high astronomical tides and a persistent onshore flow will result in minor tidal flooding around the time of high tide late this evening and again late friday morning and Friday afternoon.
High pressure building south from northern new england will result in a east to northeast flow tonight through friday evening. The onshore flow will add to the high astronomical tides and result in minor tidal flooding around the time of high tide late this evening.
High tides along the new jersey and delaware coasts will run from 930 AM to 1130 AM and from 10 PM to midnight. Times on Delaware bay and on the back bays will run up to 2 hours later.
On the onshore flow will continue Friday and impact the high tide cycle late friday morning and early friday afternoon.
Indications are that tide heights may be a bit higher for this high tide cycle than for the high tide cycle late this evening.
High tides along the new jersey and delaware coasts will occur between 1100 am and noon Friday. Times times on Delaware bay and on the back bays will run up to 2 hours later.
