Coastal Flood Advisory in Effect From 3PM This Afternoon Until 10PM Monday

By Herald Staff

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect from 3PM this afternoon to 8AM Monday.
As the Pressure Gradient tightens and ne winds increase, tidal departures will also increase today into Monday. This is expected to produce minor tidal flooding around the times of high tide late today and Monday morning. High tide along the N.J. and DE ocean fronts will occur between 4 and 5:30 PM late this afternoon and evening and between 4:30 and 6 AM Monday morning.
Minor flooding may also occur on the back bays. High tide on the back bays occurs 1 to 2 hours later than along the ocean front. It is possible that minor coastal flooding could extend to the next high tide cycle late Monday. This will depend on the exact track and timing of the storm.
