…COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO
2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A COASTAL
FLOOD ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO
2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON.
* LOCATION…COASTAL SECTIONS OF NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE…INCLUDING
THE BACK BAYS AND RARITAN BAY
* COASTAL FLOODING…MINOR TIDAL FLOODING IS EXPECTED AROUND THE
TIME OF HIGH TIDE LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.
* TIMING…HIGH TIDE OCCURS ON THE OCEAN FRONT BETWEEN 1030 AM AND
NOON. HIGH TIDE IN THE BACK BAYS OCCURS AFTER THE HIGH TIDE ON
THE OCEAN FRONT.
* SEAS…4 TO 6 FEET ON THE OCEAN DURING THE HIGH TIDE CYCLE.
* IMPACTS…MINOR TIDAL FLOODING OF THE MOST FLOOD PRONE LOCATIONS
IS EXPECTED…WITH WATER ON ROADS A POSSIBILITY.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT MINOR TIDAL FLOODING IS
ANTICIPATED. MINOR TIDAL FLOODING OFTEN RESULTS IN SOME ROADS
CLOSURES. USUALLY…THE MOST VULNERABLE ROADWAYS WILL FLOOD.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AT A LOCATION THAT IS PRONE TO TIDAL
FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS. THE
WATER MAY BE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK IT IS. YOU WILL BE PUTTING
YOURSELF IN DANGER AND YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE DAMAGED…LEADING TO
COSTLY REPAIR.
FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 9 AM EDT MONDAY…
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 9 AM EDT MONDAY.
* LOCATIONS…MUCH OF THE EASTERN SHORE OF MARYLAND, MOST OF
DELAWARE, MOST OF SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY AND PORTIONS OF
SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA.
* HAZARDS…FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
* TEMPERATURES…IN THE LOWER 30S.
* TIMING…LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING.
* IMPACTS…ENOUGH FREEZING TEMPERATURES TO POTENTIALLY END THE
GROWING SEASON.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
