Watercolorist exhibit at William Ris Galleries

Celebrating their 40th year at 9400 Second Ave. in Stone Harbor, the William Ris Galleries present the annual exhibition of nationally acclaimed watercolorist, Michael P. Rocco.
As a seasoned, accomplished artist, Rocco’s paintings have consistently received honors in juried exhibitions throughout the nation.
Over the years, he has had more than 40 one-man shows, and has been elected signature member of the American Watercolor Society for over 25 years.
Among his extensive list of art memberships, are the exclusive Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the Allied Artists of America, and the Woodmere Art Museum.
Rocco’s strikingly realistic technique is grounded in his schooling at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, under renowned artists Daniel Garber and Francis Speight.
His list of exhibitions and awards is lengthy. Some of the exhibition highlights include The American Watercolor Society, New York, The Allied Artist of America, New York, National Casein Painters, New York, Watercolor U.S.A., Missouri, and The Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia.
An opening reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.
Also exhibiting at this time are Catherine Steiger, Edward Cooper, Raymond Ewing.
