WILDWOOD – A video that appears to show a Wildwood police officer punch a man in the face has prompted an investigation, 6abc reports.
The incident is reported to have occurred near the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and Roberts Avenue Sunday evening, June 18.
Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto told 6abc that the man who was allegedly punched was involved in a disorderly persons complaint. He also said the police officer will remain on duty during the investigation.
Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating, the report continued.
