WILDWOOD – A man who was rescued from the surf Sept. 11 is reportedly in good condition at Cooper Medical Center in Camden, according to a release.
Yan Nang Min Zaw, 40, of Baltimore, Md. was reportedly walking in the surf when he apparently fell into the water and became unconscious. He was pulled from approximately 12 inches of water by beach patrol personnel. When removed the patient was in cardiac and respiratory arrest. The patient was subsequently transported to Cresse Avenue and the street-end by the beach patrol and care was transferred to Wildwood City firefighters who continued CPR. During transport the patient regained pulses but still required artificial ventilation.
Wildwood City Fire Department and the Wildwood Beach Patrol would like to remind residents and visitors that the beaches are now unguarded. They advise while the weather remains warm and conditions on the beach appear calm no one should enter the surf when beaches are unguarded.
