UPDATE: Prosecutor, Police Release Details About Male Found Dead in Sea Isle City

SEA ISLE CITY – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Sea Isle City Police Chief Thomas D’Intino announce the joint investigation into a suicide which occurred in Sea Isle City Feb. 17.
The Sea Isle City Police Department responded to the 300 block of 43rd Place for the report of an unresponsive 46-year-old male. Upon arrival, officers discovered the decedent lying on a bed in his bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the right side of the head. The handgun was located in close proximity to the body. The subsequent investigation conducted by members of the Sea Isle City Police Department and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office relieved nothing suspicious in nature.
An external examination was conducted Feb. 18 by the Southern Regional Medical Examiners Office and the cause of death has been certified as a suicide.
