Two Bodies Discovered in Rio Grande

RIO GRANDE – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner announce the discovery of two bodies in a wooded section of Rio Grande.
On July 8 at 9:11 a.m., Middle Township Police responded to Old Rio Grande Avenue in the Rio Grande section of the township where an individual who was walking on a back trail, in a wooded area, discovered two individuals who appeared to be deceased. Upon police arrival they discovered the bodies of a male and a female who were obviously deceased. These individuals at this time have not been identified and a joint investigation is presently under way by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Detective Unit of the Middle Township Police Department.
Prosecutor Taylor and Chief Leusner report that this investigation is in the beginning stages and further information will be provided at a later time.
