Trump Entertainment Resorts Files for Bankruptcy

ATLANTIC CITY – Trump Entertainment Resorts filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, De. today, Sept. 9, saying it has liabilities of more than $100 million, according to NBC 40.
Officials with UNITE HERE Local 54 told NBC 40 they were notified this morning that Taj Mahal employees could receive WARN Act notices as soon as this afternoon.
The company went through bankruptcy in 2009.
This announcement comes a week before Trump Plaza’s scheduled closing date of Sept. 16.
