All are invited to the 2008 Sea Isle City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. at JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue.
Plenty of holiday festivities will take place at the event, including carols sung by Sea Isle City Methodist Church and Saint Joseph Catholic Church choirs, poetry readings by students from the Sea Isle City Public School, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
There will also be free cookies and hot cocoa for all to enjoy, courtesy of the Sea Isle City Taxpayers Association.
The main highlight of the evening will take place when Mayor Leonard Desiderio flips a giant switch and illuminates the town’s 40-foot Christmas tree. At that point, the holiday season will officially be in full swing in Sea Isle City.
For more information about Sea Isle City’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, phone the mayor’s office, 609-263-4461, ext. 245.
