Traffic Advisory for Lower Township Coombs Douglass Run, Aug. 5

TOWN BANK – Lower Township Police want residents in Villas, Town Bank and North Cape May areas to be aware of detours in and about the Town Bank and North Cape May area, for the Coombs Douglass Run, which will begin Aug. 5 at 8:30 a.m. 
Townbank Road, Clubhouse Road, Miramar Avenue, Beach Drive, Shore Drive and Douglass Park will all be closed or detoured. Douglass Park will be closed from 10 p.m. Aug. 4 until the end of the run Aug. 5. 
The event will consist of a two-mile and five-mile run. The starting point of the race will be in front of the Townbank Fire Hall. The majority of the run will occur on Clubhouse Drive, Shore Drive and Beach Drive in North Cape May. Motorists can expect delays and detours in this area, as a great deal of the course will be closed to traffic. Therefore, motorists are requested to avoid this area during the hours of 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
