Lower Township Police Issue Traffic Advisory for Escape the Cape Triathlon June 2

NORTH CAPE MAY – The Seventh Annual Escape the Cape Triathlon, presented by Inspira Health, will take place June 2, at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal in North Cape May, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. 
According to a Lower Township Police Department release, all residents living along Jonathan Hoffman Road, Seashore Road, south of the canal; the West Cape May Bridge, New England Road, Bayshore Road, south of the canal; Stimpson Lane, Shunpike Road, south of the canal; Lincoln Blvd., Atlantic Avenue, Emerson Avenue, Beach Drive, and Channel Apartments can expect road closures, detours, and delays during this time.
Those who live along this route, are urged to use caution, allow extra time, and have a plan to take an alternate route the morning June 2 during the event.
In addition, those who live along the course are asked not to park in the street and to remove all trash and recycle cans from the street or curb.

* For any residents living along the New England Road portion of the triathlon course: If they have to leave their home due to extreme circumstances contact the LTPD at 609-886-2711 to be safely escorted off the triathlon course by the police.
