Lower Township Police Advise on Pending Road Closures Due to Construction

NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Police Department advises motorists that construction of the Roseann Avenue Phase Three project is underway. 
According to a release, as of Sept. 27, the contractor (Mount Construction) has installed 296 feet of stormwater main from the Phase 1 and 2 project limit at 218 Roseannn Ave. to the area at 210 Roseann Ave.
Mount Construction will be performing the following work during the week of Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, 2019:
1) Continue installation of 66”x51” CSP stormwater main.
2) Continue operation of well point system from 212 to 206 Roseann along the south sidewalk area. Well point water discharge will be into the new storm main via the 30” manhole riser at #212 Roseann.
Due to the construction, the 200 block of Roseann Ave. from 218 through Amhurst Road will be substantially closed to through traffic during working hours.
The actual area of full road closure will be approximately 100 feet in length and will move westward as the the pipe work progresses in that direction.
Mount will work to allow residents access to and from their homes during this time. Emergency vehicles will be able to access properties from either the east and west sides of the actual closure zone.
During non-working hours, Roseann Avenue within the Phase Three project limits will be open to one lane of traffic.
The south side of Roseann from #218 to Deborah Street. the north side from Deborah St. to Amhurst Road and the north side from Amhurst Road to Service Road is occupied by storage of construction equipment and materials.
Mount has indicated the it will be working four 10-hour shifts, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., starting Sept. 30.
Mount will utilize a Friday shift to make up a rain day should the need arise.
