NORTH CAPE MAY – Work is progressing on the Beach Drive project.
When completed the project will improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, improve drainage issues, repair sidewalks, create appropriate handicap crosswalk access and help limit sand migration onto the road, according to a release.
The project is expected to be done by May 28.
The contractor, Asphalt Paving Systems, has grated the area and completed the curb cuts.
Atlantic City Electric relocated utility poles and will continue moving utility lines.
Drivers are urged to use caution if travel is necessary along the roadway.
Lower Township appreciates the public’s patience during construction. Calls concerning construction issues can be directed to Lower Township Manager Jim Ridgway at Township Hall at 609-886-2005.
Lower Township Council also reminded the public that they can stay updated on the progress of the project by visiting the township website at: www.townshipoflower.org.
