Even in January, you can wax your board, grab your flip flops and head for the indoor beach party at the Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd, Stone Harbor, Saturday, Jan. 24.
Think sun, not snow, and party like it’s Fourth of July from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with fun for the whole family. Youngsters can try indoor surfing, hunt for buried treasure, do the limbo, make a kite, or take hula lessons–grass skirts included!
Cost is $5 members, $7 nonmembers.
Admission to the Wetlands Institute is free for anyone with a Cape May County driver’s license on Thursdays only now though April, and kids with a local adult are free too.
Stop by and enjoy live animal programs at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., plus an aquarium feeding at 3:30 p.m.
For those people who have never visited the Institute, or perhaps haven’t been there in a long time, this is a chance to enjoy a visit for free, which is the Wetlands Institute’s way of helping everyone deal with the economy.
The Lunch and Learn program for Jan. 20 will be Kiting South Africa with Phil Broder.
Bring your lunch; coffee and dessert will be provided. Time is 11:45 to 1 p.m. and cost is $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers.
For information call 609-368-1211 or visit wetlandsinstitute.org.
