NORTH WILDWOOD – The Coast Guard Ceremonial Detail from Training Center Cape May, under the direction of Chief Petty Officer Edward Burke, will attend the Aug. 4 Sunrise on Sunday, at 6:15 a.m., to post the colors at the Veteran Flag Service at Lou Booth Amphitheater, Second and Ocean avenues.

According to a release, the Coast Guard will mark its 229th anniversary that day.

Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla No. 83 members will play “Semper Paratus,” the service’s theme song, on bagpipes during the processional.

Buglers from the Coast Guard Training Center will play the national anthem as the Coast Guard center’s flag is raised in honor of all veterans that have served in the nation’s armed forces.

North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello will welcome the Coast Guard and Deb Moore, founder of Sunrise on Sunday.

The public is invited to attend and will be accorded photo opportunities with the Coast Guard Ceremonial Detail on the seawall after the flag ceremony.
