I’ve been waiting for this. It’s mid-July, and the heat is on.
What? You’re uncomfortable?
OK. Close you eyes and think back to the frigid winds of January. That’ll cool you off.
If not, try some of Cape May County’s best solutions for a heat wave. Go put your feet in the ocean. It is, after all, the main reason we’re here. And the temps are just now warming up to foot-cooling perfection.
Or go fishing. Lots of people around these parts do, and they all send their fabulous photos to Carolyn Miller. You can, too. Check out The Fishing Line, inside and at CapeMayCountyHerald.com.
Here’s another idea: cool off under the awning of a Jersey Fresh farm market. Let Maureen Cawley tell you about some of the finest you’ll find within a quarter-tank radius. Moral of that story: save gas; eat luscious produce.
There’s lots of cool shade under the trees at Historic Cold Spring Village where, this weekend, you can take the whole gang for Family Fun Weekend.
But then, there’s always that heaven-sent, cooler-offer: air conditioning. Go inside and chill out at Jazz Vespers, art galleries, bars and restaurants that offer music and karaoke (which, I understand, is also called music), and Quizzo (don’t know about the heat of competition).
Turn to On Deck’s Entertainment Grid, the best guide to everything cool countywide.
All the info you need is inside. Besides, we’re just fun to read.
So put your feet in the kiddie pool, if need be, and read On Deck cover-to-cover.
Your best keep-cool activity this week is only a page or two away.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
