Storm Damage Results in Renovations to West Cape May Borough Hall

By Press Release

WEST CAPE MAY – On Jan. 7, during Winter Storm Grayson, the fire suppression system in West Cape May’s Municipal Building froze and burst, causing an extensive amount of water damage throughout the Borough’s court room and municipal building lobby.
According to a release, under the supervision of Public Works Manager, Greg Basile, the West Cape May Public Works Department is currently in the process of renovating and restoring the court room and lobby. The repairs and renovations which are being completed are part of an insurance claim which the borough filed with the ACMJIF.
The borough is working as efficiently as possible to restore the municipal building. During this time, the borough appreciates the public’s patience and understanding, as the building looks and sounds like a construction zone.
