NORTH WILDWOOD – Two days of protests were held outside a Boardwalk store in North Wildwood after social media posts indicated the store refused to lower its music while the national anthem played outside, according to a report on NJ.com.
A store employee said not lowering the music was a one-time mistake, and that the store routinely lowers its music at 11 a.m. when the national anthem plays daily on the Boardwalk.
About 100 people Aug. 2 and 200 people Aug. 3 stood in front of the store carrying American flags, according to the report.
North Wildwood Police said there were no incidents during the protests.
