Special nights for seniors at Cape May Stage

By On Deck Staff

Cape May Stage, Cape May’s renowned professional Equity theatre, is hosting a special evening of theater for all senior citizens.
On Tuesday, August 12 at 8 p.m., with the generous support of PNC Bank, all seniors, 62 and over, are invited to attend a performance of Noel Coward’s classic comedy “Private Lives” at the discounted rate of $12.50 per ticket.
Senior Nights sell out very quickly, so reservations are recommended.
“Private Lives,” which opened here in June to rave reviews, takes place on the terrace of an elegant hotel in the resort town of Deauville, France, where two unsuspecting newlywed couples unexpectedly meet their ex-spouses on the adjoining balconies of their honeymoon suites.
Chicago-based actor Mark Rector and Philadelphia-based actress Grace Gonglewski star in the leading roles of Elyot and Amanda.
These Cape May favorites appear alongside New York-based actor Rob Maitner as Victor and Orlando based-actress Kristin Collins in the role of Sybil.
Critics say, “Michael Carleton has done well in assembling and directing a cast, sparked by Grace Gonglewski, to make this version a pleasant and laugh-filled evening of theatre,” and “…the sparkling cast are perfect choices for their roles.”
The final public performance of the current run is at 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, August 16.
Call 609-884-1341 for reservations and information or visit the theatre’s website, capemaystage.com.
