VILLAS – Lower Township Police Department responded to a call in the vicinity of Ridgewood Avenue on the bay in Villas Feb. 21 to recover a canvas bag which contained a silver .38 caliber revolver.
The bag in which the weapon was recovered also contained several spent and live rounds of miscellaneous ammunition.
Police are unable at this time to locate the owner of the weapon. Residents are urged to inventory their possessions to ensure this weapon was not unknowingly taken from them.
