Veterans Leaders Endorse Thornton And Sheppard

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE– Ten leaders of some of Cape May County’s most important Veterans Groups have personally endorsed Freeholder Gerald M. Thornton and Ocean City Council President Susan Sheppard in the June 8, 2010, Republican Primary contest.
“As a Veteran,” stated Jerry Thornton. “It means a great deal to me to have the support of my fellow service members. While we want to make it clear that these are individual endorsements and not on behalf of any group, these endorsements demonstrate that my friends in the Veterans community have the same courage today as they did when they were on active duty defending our country. Their endorsement of Sue Sheppard and I proves that.”
Susan Sheppard stated, “The personal endorsements of our ticket by these important leaders of our Veterans groups reflect the commitment and dedication that Jerry Thornton has had to the men and women of the United States’ military his entire life. I am honored to be running with an American military Veteran and to have the support of so many important Veteran leaders from throughout Cape May County.”
