Senator Jeff Van Drew said he is proud of his record of working with Gov. Chris Christie to accomplish great things for South Jersey. Van Drew said he and Assemblymen Nelson Albano and Bob Andrzejczak remain committed to reaching across the aisle to get things done for residents.
“I am proud of the work Governor Christie and I have done together that is directly helping South Jersey,” said Van Drew. “When plans were in place to close the Vineland Developmental Center, I went directly to the governor and together we saved 1,400 jobs. I’ve stood side-by-side with Governor Christie in calling for a 10 percent property tax cut. And we worked together this year to give residents a balanced state budget with zero tax increases. And that’s just the beginning.”
The Van Drew Team also worked directly with the governor to have traffic lights and fencing removed from the Garden State Parkway, and also in having a new south bridge built along the highway. They also fought to protect South Jersey’s fisherman from being put out of business by large, industrial out-of-state fishing vessels.
Van Drew said he and Assemblymen Albano and Andrzejczak will continue to talk about the issues important to South Jersey. He said the Van Drew Team will keep going door-to-door to discuss their plans to lower taxes to protect residents and attract new jobs to South Jersey, to deliver South Jersey’s fair share of school funding, and to protect our veterans and seniors.
“Bob, Nelson and I are fighting for South Jersey every single day, and that’s no lie,” said Van Drew.
