Special Elections Give Voters Say On Projects’ Fate

COURT HOUSE – Voters in Wildwood Crest, as well as those in Lower Township, Cape May and West Cape May will be faced with ballot questions Jan. 26.
Wildwood Crest
Polls will remain open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. to vote on a bond ordinance to spend $2.7 million for road improvements, street utility work and construction of medians on Pacific Avenue from Morning Glory to Primrose roads.
The vote was necessitated after a group of opponents petitioned to oppose the medians on the northern end of Pacific Avenue.
Lower Township Schools
Polls will remain open from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. for voters in Lower Township Consolidated and Lower Cape May Regional School districts. The latter included Cape May, West Cape May and Lower Township.
In the elementary district, a $5.1-million project is proposed for Maud Abrams, Charles W. Sandman and Carl T. Mitnick schools for various repairs and upgrades.
Lower Cape May Regional
Before voters is a $6.36-million plan for the high school and Richard Teitelman Middle School for roof and window repairs as well as a field house for the physical education and athletic programs.
