COURT HOUSE – When polls open June 6 at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. partisan voters will select the persons who will carry their party’s banner in the November general election for various offices.
As of May 18 in Cape May County there were registered, according to the County Clerk’s Office, 27,814 Republicans, 15,480 Democrats and 26,322 “other.” Thus, there are 69,616 registered voters.
Those “others” may cast a ballot. However, they must declare a party before voting and will be considered in that party.
