COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Democrats will have a choice in the June 4 primary election for a township committee candidate. It has been many years since there was such a contest.
On March 28, Middle Township Democratic Committee met at the Samuel DeVico Center. Committee members heard presentations from Michael Clark of Swainton, and Salvatore “Sal” DeSimone of Rio Grande, according to municipal leader James Alexis.
“There was an extensive question-and-answer session after the presentation,” he said.
Following that, “a ballot was prepared to get an idea of who everybody wanted to support,” Alexis said.
“Michael Clark received the majority of votes. However, both Sal and Mike will appear as Democratic candidates in the June primary,” Alexis said.
